Kenzo's Well: Providing Clean Water and a Better Future for Ghana
Kenzo's Well is a non-profit organization founded by Marquita and Lucas Payne in 2022. Their mission is to provide clean drinking water, feminine hygiene products, and sustainable technology to Ghana and other West African countries.
In June 2022, Marquita and Lucas embarked on their first trip to Ghana, where they commissioned the construction of a borehole in the remote village of Asomdwe. This well will provide clean drinking water to over 2,000 people in the village, who had previously relied on unsafe water sources such as rivers and streams.
During their visit to Asomdwe, Marquita was deemed Queen of Development by the Chief of the village. She will return for her official coronation in the near future.
Kenzo's Well is committed to making a real difference in the lives of the people of Ghana and other West African countries. By providing clean water, feminine hygiene products, and sustainable technology, they are helping to create a better future for all.
How You Can Help
There are many ways you can help Kenzo's Well achieve their mission. You can:
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of the people of Ghana and other West African countries.
Boreholes (wells) provide clean water from deep beneath the earths surface to provide clean drinking water for remote villages in West Africa. Our goal is to build several boreholes per year.
Providing washable reusable feminine hygiene products and underwear promotes women's health initiatives. While we also provide disposable napkins, reusable underwear are a safer, more sustainable and impactful alternative.
We have provided things like radios, computers, and televisions with small generators and cellular-based connections to keep remote villages informed of current events.
